  • Marine Boy Exists – I’m not Crazy!

Growing up in Pennsylvania, my brother and I used to watch a cartoon called Marine Boy.  Whenever we would tell someone about it, they would think we were crazy.  Well thanks to You Tube, I can now prove that I am not crazy (at least where Marine Boy is concerned).  Here watch some episodes for yourself and let me know what you think:

Marine Boy – The Green Monster Part 1

Marine Boy – The Green Monster Part 2

Marine Boy – The Green Monster Part 3

Marine Boy – Danger at 300 Fathoms Part 1

Marine Boy – Danger at 300 Fathoms Part 2

Marine Boy – Danger at 300 Fathoms Part 3

You can watch a lot more Marine Boy Eposides on YouTube – Click Here

Oh yeah, Joe, if you are reading this, you can find these other shows that people used to say we were crazy about too:

God bless the Internet and YouTube!

  • My Wii Fitness Age

Riley and Jolie are in bed, Sara went to get Addison from an evening birthday party, and I’m alone with the Wii, dangerous.  So I plugged in Wii sports, beat the computer 3-0 in tennis, I’m getting good, didn’t even have to go to the 5 game set.  Then I notice the Wii Fitness option.  What they heck, I haven’t been getting to the Gym, so I twist my wrist a bit and select the fitness option.

It starts off with some tennis practice, where I have to see how many balls I can return, forehand, backhand, net shots, whew…  I missed a few but I don’t think I did to bad.  Next comes batting practice, 5 home runs out of 8 or 10 pitches, I can’t remember, but not to shabby….  Next a little bit of bowling, 1 pin, got it.  2 pins, no sweat, 3 pins got them on my second try, 4 pins no problem, 5 pins two tries, FINISHED.  Ut oh….

The Wii then decides to tally up my "Wii Fitness Age"….  wait for it….   34!!!!

Now, I’m 38, so maybe that’s good, did I just virtually sweat of 4 years?  Hmm….  I don’t think so, now I’m wondering the average age of Wii players, and I’m not thinking 34 is a medal of honor.  Then I remember Sara telling me that the Wii is getting very popular at the old age homes, and I’m wondering what wii fitness age they are getting, probably 18 or so…

I guess I need some more practice. Gotta whip my Mii into shape!  🙂

Don’t tell the kids, I played without them…

  • New Redskins Fans!

Yesterday I took the boys to their first Redskins game!  They had a great time and really got into the game.  The Redskings played the Arizona Cardinals and the game came down to the last few seconds when the Cardinals almost kicked a winning field goal.  Addison and Riley both got new Redskins hats, and Addison was very excited to find a 5 dollar bill on the ground while we were walking back to the car.

Don’t feel bad for Jolie, she went to see High School Musical on Ice with Mom and a bunch of her friends!

  • PetMeds Offer Code – Guessed and Found one!

Lulu needed some new Heartgard medication, so I went to the 800-PetMeds site and started buying her a refill when I came to the dreaded "offer code" entry box.  Well of course I didn’t have an offer code, so like any good online shopper, I went looking for one.  As a Petmeds affiliate, I checked linkshare first, and although they had links for their standard deals for free shipping and money off at certain dollar volumes, there was no offer codes available.  A search at Google and Yahoo indicated that there just weren’t any codes readily available.

So what did I do?  Did I continue on without an offer code like a good online shopper.  No way!  One last chance, I started guessing.  I have seen a lot of offer codes in the past, and I figured what the heck, if it doesn’t work then I will buy.  (I already have an account with Lulu’s information and vet approval for the meds, so going somewhere else like PetMedsRX wasn’t really an good option).

I guessed, 5off, 10off, no luck.  I guessed save5, no luck, then hit the jackpot with save10, 10% off my order!  Bingo, thanks!

Here was my process if you want to try and replicate it:

    1. Visit PetMeds site through an affiliate link. Use yours if you have one, otherwise click here and donate to the Viener cause.
    2. Add the items you want to your shopping cart
    3. At checkout, enter "save10" when it asks for your 1-800-Petmets Offer Code
    4. Bingo, 10% off your entire order is added as an item to your cart.

Happy 10% off your entire order at 1-800-PetMeds, courtesy of Viener.com!
