  • Adam’s first Forbes Article – How to Become an Affiliate

On the surface, affiliate marketing (also known as performance marketing) seems simple. Brands offer affiliate partners a percentage of every sale or lead the partners generate via their online promotional activity. Anyone can join these affiliate programs and easily monetize their online content and influence and get paid for promoting any brand they want.

If only it were that easy.

  • Eulogy for Mom (Sue Viener – 9/9/16)

Eulogy for Mom (Sue Viener – 9/9/16)

LOVE.  Mom loved everyone.  She loved every child she ever met or saw and winked at, especially the ones with a little twinkle of mischief in their eye.  She loved every caregiver and every housekeeper she ever had.  Yes, Jon, even Edith from Beautiful Barbados.  She loved everyone in her community, every dear friend, and especially her family.

FAMILY.  Mom showed us what family meant.  She worked hard to keep all of us close by creating family traditions that would continue to bring us all together.  She had a plan for how close she wanted her family to be and she executed her plan flawlessly.  She welcomed Sara and Meryl into the family and loved them like the daughters she never had, she loved, loved, loved each and every grandchild, loved Joe and I more than we often deserved, and especially loved Dad.

STRENGTH. Mom was the strongest person I have ever known.  These past 15 years have been a show of unyelding strength in the face of multiple cancers, ongoing pain, and a failing body.  Her mind was always sharp. She made a pact with God that she wanted to be at each grandchild’s bar and bat mitzvah and through sheer strength of will, (and some help from above), she achieved her goal.

GENEROSITY.  Everyone knows how generous Mom was.  She was generous with her treasure, her time, and her encouraging words.  There isn’t anyone who spent any time with Mom that didn’t come away changed for the better and with a feeling that they could accomplish anything.

FUNNY.  Mom had an amazing sense of humor and joy for life.  She loved funny and inappropriate birthday, valentine’s day, and Halloween cards.  Halloween was her favorite time of year.  She loved Halloween because of all the kids that would come to the door and because she thought toilet papered trees were pretty.

    Sue Viener Laughing

She taught us what hell night was all about, and showed us how to raid and prank our neighbors. Apologies to the Patotskis for filling the space between your front door and screen door with leaves and ringing the bell, and running and to anyone who may have “accidentally” got sprayed with shaving cream on October 30th as Mom drove us by.  I’d also like to apologize to anyone in Hampton Heights, Mom loved driving through the piles of leaves along the road. Additional apologies to any of my carpool friends who got squished against the windows when Mom took her infamous sharp turns, and I forgive you Mom for continuing to play bumper-brakes (the act of continuously pressing the brakes to make the car go bump, bump) even after I begged you to stop because of my car sickness.

I have loved every naughty, fun filled and special moment that I got to spend with you.

  • Yazing continues to grow rapidly!

    Yazing continues to grow rapidly!

In October of 2015 we finally launched Yazing.com.  I have had the idea for the business for many years and was one of those ideas that just stuck around and got better and better over time.  Many business ideas just aren’t like that.  The concept if fairly simple, make it easy for members to earn large cash rewards both for everything they recommend and purchase online.

For years at both Cyberia and Imwave we have had private access to these large marketing commissions that the top sites offered as well as their current deals and coupon codes.  Yazing is an attempt to simplify the process and open it up to EVERYONE.

I wanted to create a platform that would pass through 100% of the cash rewards earned to our members for their recommendations and purchase and earn money for the business without taking a cut of our members transactions (like most companies do).  My current theory, that seems to be showing signs of success, is that if we can get people sharing their links to earn money on their recommendations, that these links, would increase the SEO value of our deal pages, and Yazing would make money on all the transactions that come in organically through the search engines.

Yazing has been growing rapidly.  We just posted a monthly update where we detail some of the specifics including over $5.5 million dollars in sales for our brands and nearly 100k in cash rewards for our members.

If you haven’t checked out the site, please do and let me know what you think.  If you are not making money on your recommendations and purchases, you can be sure someone else is taking that available cash!

  • Introducing Yazing

    Introducing Yazing

As many of you know, besides my efforts at Imwave, I have started working on launching another business called Yazing.  Yazing has been an idea that I have had for many years, and has been one of those ideas that while evolving over time, the core has remained the same, enabling people to earn cash rewards when their online brand and product recommendations generate sales.

Here is a quick introduction video I created with GoAnimate that explains how it works:

I have been involved in the affiliate marketing / performance marketing industry since it’s beginnings in 1996 when we used to post banners on the Cyberia home page, until most recently as a performance search engine advertising agency with Imwave.

Now I hope to leverage my deep understanding of the industry and what advertisers are looking for to create a platform that opens up the available affiliate commissions to the mass market while insuring that our members meet FTC and advertiser guidelines by having them recommend brands and products landing pages on Yazing.com.

It should be a fun ride!

  • What does Imwave Do?

We know many of our friends and family aren’t quite sure what Imwave does.  We recently published the following video to help explain a little better.  Understand that the primary audience is for potential clients who already have an established company and an affiliate program setup where they pay commissions for sales and leads generated by marketing partners like Imwave.
