As many of you know, Riley LOVES Soccer, and is quite good at it. Here are some highlights from his first game this year:
Every year we have a family tradition of spending Passover at my parent’s house. This year Passover happened to fall on Sara’s 38th birthday. Sara had gotten the boys a toy video camera, so Addison and Riley were busy filming clips of the event.
Just prior to the Passover meal, the kids were playing hide and go seek. Here is Addison’s film and running commentary as he hides in my parent’s closet:
Addison decided that this year instead of hunting for the Afikomen like the rest of the kids, he would play videographer and film and interview Pop-Pop’s hiding of the Afikomen and the hunt. Here is the first take of the hiding of the Afikomen:
Jolie got tired towards the end of dinner, and we decided to let her watch a movie upstairs. We didn’t realize that she would be lying in the bed where Pop-Pop had hid the Afikomen, so dad had to re-hide it, this is the 2nd take of the hiding of the Afikomen:
Then of course all the kids had to look for the Afikomen. Hopefully you won’t get to dizzy watching this one. Just imagine all these kids tearing through your house? I am not sure Pop-Pop’s idea of not hiding it in any drawers saved the house from getting torn apart.
At the end of the meal we had a special cake an song for Sara to celebrate her 38th birthday. (as I write this, I am only 37 I should point out… older women….)
I hope you enjoy the kid’s videos of our Passover tradition!
We recently had a great time skiing in Deer Valley. We would like to extend a very special THANK YOU to Jim and Sam Wilkerson for opening up their home to us, we REALLY appreciate it. What a great home and what great hosts. Here are some great pictures from our ski trip! Click on any one of them to enlarge.

Also, be sure to take a look at the Video of Jolie skiing with the Boys. All the kids improved their skiing skill levels greatly this trip!
Here is a video of Jolie skiing with the Addison and Riley at Deer Valley in Utah. After a few days of lessons, Jolie was skiing like a champ and we had her all the way up the mountain skiing on blue slopes. Enjoy the video:
It was a very special moment for me this weekend. Addison approached me and asked me if I could show him how to program an online game. Apparently he has been working on some designs for weapons for his game.& nbsp; I told Addison that I don’t know how to program at this point, but I do know how to setup websites and blogs and he decided he wanted to launch a game blog where people could visit and play online games.
I walked Addison through the steps to setting up his own Blog, and taught him how to find game widgets and post them to his blog, the result is fantastic! Addison (or I guess we should call him Bob now), has launched his first website / blog called Bob’s Game Blog (www.bobsgameblog.com).
This morning before school we found that he had designed a flyer to pass out to tell his friends about the new site . Take a look, and try some of the games, I am sure you will be impressed. I actually found myself playing some of the games over the weekend. The space invaders, asteroids, and pac man game brought back some very fond memories of my childhood, and the new Flash Element game is nothing less than addictive.
Take a look at the site, tell your kids and your friends, because I am sure Addison will be checking the stats often. Play a few games and let him know what you think! Also, don’t forget to leave a present for the Pig!

Unfortunately it’s True, I confess. I did in fact throw up at Bob Evans. Now to be fair, I love Bob Evans, and It was in no way Bob Evens’ fault that I tossed my cookies at their restaurant. My friends are big Bob Evan fans too, especially the ones who drink Coffee, they love the coffee at Bob Evans. I guess I should stop saying Bob Evans, if I say Bob Evens too much I might start ranking for Bob Evans, then the whole world will know I threw up there one morning…

Where was I. Oh yeah, it wasn’t Bob Evans’ fault, you see it was our first camping trip with our friends, we decided to all go out and pitch some tents and have a big overnight camping experience. Now you have to understand, none of us are big campers, and this was our first experience. So we all bought our Target tents and went out for our first family camping experience.
We were all having fun around the camp fire, and I perhaps was having a bit too much fun. An associate of mine had given me a nice bottle of wine, and I was enjoying it with a little less help that I had expected. So although it was a really fun night, the aftermath for me was a bit more than I was expecting and I was feeling a little queasy in the morning.

Well it rained that night while we were sleeping, and most of the families woke up on the wet side of their tents. My family was completely dry, mind you, we had decided to upgrade our target tent at the last minute when I noticed the box said “water resistant” so we opted for the larger Eddie Bauer Mammoth Tent that that said “water proof” on the side. Good move!
So everyone, but us, woke up wet, and didn’t really feel like trying to get a camp fire going in the morning. Since our big camping trip was really just an overnighter, the decision was made to pack up camp and head out to Bob Evans for breakfast.
So I was a little queasy going into breakfast, but I did feel that a nice hot cup of tea and some solid food would do me some good. That was until my “friend” Pete got his breakfast! He ordered Biscuits and Gravy, and while on a normal day, I am sure that they taste great, and in fact Pete orders it all the time at Bob Evans, when it came to the table it looked something like this:

That was it for me! Puke on a plate was just a little more than I could take at the moment, and I was off to pay my respects to the Bob Evens Porcelain God.
Luckily I was able to find a tooth brush and toothpaste among our camping gear and I ended up having a nice Bob Evens experience afterwards.
So yes, it’s true. I confess! I did in fact throw up at Bob Evans. Sorry Mr. Evans.
In honor of my experience, a added the following buttons to the official viener.com store:

So what is the moral here? Besides obviously to get a water proof tent? True friends don’t order puke on a plate when their friends are feeling hung over.
Today is Addison’s Birthday! If has officially hit double digits today! It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years. It got me thinking about how it all started 10 years ago. How about a trip down memory lane…

When Addison was born, we launched the first ever CribCam where our friends and family could view Addison live in his Crib over the Internet. Once it hit the newswire, it was all over the national news including Nightline with Tom Brokaw.
We ran the CribCam up until his first birthday when it was officially retired. Here is a picture journal from his first birthday party! As the first child, we got kind of photo happy and created several of these picture journals. (Addison’s first trip to the petting zoo, and Addison’s first trip to Wipigaki)
Once our family started getting bigger, we stopped with the mini picture journals, opting for ofoto galleries, see the Viener.com picture site.
Addison has grown and matured very well over the years. He is a great student and has lots of friends. This past summer he went away to sleep over camp. He spent 3.5 weeks at Camp Manitou in Maine and had a great time.
Happy Birthday Addison!
